save-the-dates.

We received the rest of our engagement photos from Jason on Monday, and I have to admit that I love them! I'll post some of my favorites very soon, and it feels so good to have accomplished something substantial. However, with accomplishment comes...DIY PROJECTS! The first one: the Save-the-Dates.

It's interesting how one project can yield hundreds of tiny research projects. For instance, before I can buy paper, I need to look at postage rates/envelope sizes, and then where to buy paper and gocco supplies. This list goes on and on.

Anyways, I was playing around with Photoshop today and I'm having trouble deciding which color is best. Could you help?

Hi there-I just stumbled across your blog and hope you don't mind if I become a regular visitor!! My bf of 4+ years and I will be getting engaged within the next 6 months or so (if he knows whats good for him!;-) ) so I thought I'd check out the wedding blogosphere. I love your writing!!

I like the first Save the Date option--the red really pops out in my eyes and the bold, clear writing is great.

I think my favorite is the white. You can read it, but it lets the two of you be the focus of the picture. Great photo!

I think the black is my favorite. The fancy font draws attention to your names, but I think I'd play around with all of the type to make it bolder and maybe add a drop shadow to help it "pop" against the brick. The photo is absolutely adorable!

I love the second one - it's classic writing of your names but also draws your attention to you two! :) I love it!! :) Goodluck!

I think the middle/second one, or maybe use the same font you plan to use on your invites whatever one that might be. So cute!

#2 is the most elegant.

I like #2. It seems like it belongs on the wall!

Coming in a little late due to the time change, but I vote for the first option! The red is bold and playful and really stands out. I think the save-the-dates are a chance to be a bit less formal than the invites!

Miss you Lynn!

I like #1 best. The red really suits the colors and style of the photo..

i too like the first one. it is the most striking to the eye, and the black is a tiny bit generic. the red ,however, has spunk

I vote for the black!

I'm torn. The red is v. trendy but the black is super classy. I think the font you've chosen for each has a lot to do w/my perception. So i guess, it's up to what you're looking for. Black would be elegant and the red would be "fierce" as Christian would say. Yeah- i'm no help =P

I like the red one - it is a little edgy and urban while still being cute and casual. I think that fits with the picture of you guys kissing and with the idea of save the date cards.

I love the white. It's like a little red schoolhouse wall with white writing in it. Very cute.

The 2nd one looks great! It definitely lets the couple stand out, but also compliments them.

White is of course the easiest to read but I think I like option #2 best.
